Planogram software assumes the fixture file is true. On Thai floors, renovations, seasonal builds, and temporary chillers change usable space without anyone updating the diagram.
Before a category reset, map primary shelves and agreed secondary spots for the doors that matter most. Note usable facing capacity, not just theoretical bay counts. Flag locations that cannot hold the proposed assortment.
That map shortens arguments later. When a store cannot execute a 24-facing block, the conversation moves to which SKUs to cut—not whether the merchandiser failed.
We treat fixture mapping as a service separate from compliance walks because the timing differs. Mapping belongs upstream of diagram approval; walks belong after go-live.
